The web browser performs an ID verification of the certificate to see and display who is using it. It is also used to secure a web server or mail server. The international organization of browsers and certificate authorities, the CA/Browser Forum, is gradually shortening the maximum validity period of SSL certificates. The planned schedule of changes:
from 2026-03-15 – up to 200 days
from 2027-03-15 – up to 100 days
from 2029-03-15 – up to 47 days
If you use a VPS or another provider – you will need to install renewed certificates yourself (we will notify you).
