Why can’t I connect from China?
OpenVPN and, in some cases, L2TP are blocked by the Great Firewall. If you are connecting from China, please use SSL VPN.

How many devices can I connect simultaneously?
You can setup PrivateVPN on as many devices as you like, but you may only connect simultaneously on ten (10) devices at any given time. If you need more devices connected simultaneously, then purchase additional accounts as needed.
Are there any traffic limits on the service?
No, PrivateVPN never imposes any limitations or restrictions on usage or bandwidth consumption.
Do you keep logs?
No, PrivateVPN never produces logs of any data traffic.

What is a kill switch and how does it work?
Kill switch is a special feature designed to prevent your connection from accidental exposure. If the VPN connection suddenly fails, the kill switch automatically stops all internet traffic until the user can properly reconnect to the VPN server (available on Windows, OSX and Android apps).
Do you have IPv6 Leak protection?
Yes, all their applications have built-in IPv6 leak protection.
Do you offer static or dynamic IP addresses?
PrivateVPN offers shared static IP addresses (available in all locations) and dynamic dedicated IP addresses with OpenVPN (TUN-UDP-1195) on selected locations. Contact our support team for the list of available servers with dynamic dedicated IP.
Do you support Firestick/Fire TV devices?
